If you were mentioned 5 times and your positions were #1, #2, #4, #3, #2:- Prominence = (1 + 2 + 4 + 3 + 2) / 5 = #2.4
How to interpret it
- Visibility can be stable while prominence worsens. That usually means you are still included, but competitors are being preferred.
- Prominence improves when:
- Your “why choose us” criteria matches what the answer emphasizes
- You have stronger evidence/citations
- And your pages are structured in a way models can summarize confidently
