Visibility tells you how often your brand appears in AI answers for the prompts you track.

Calculation

Visibility=# responses where you are mentioned# total responses×100\text{Visibility}=\frac{\#\text{ responses where you are mentioned}}{\#\text{ total responses}}\times 100

Example

If Meridian ran 200 prompt-runs today, each on 4 models, there’d be 800 responses. If you were mentioned in 96 of them:
  • Visibility = 96 / 800 = 12%

How to interpret it

  • A low visibility percentage means you are frequently not included in answers. In practice, this usually means you are not consistently in the “consideration set.”
  • Improving visibility tends to require one (or more) of:
    • Better topic coverage (content that directly answers the prompts)
    • Stronger presence in the sources models trust (citations)
    • Or better site discovery (crawlability/citeability).
